Crowdfunding Queer Centre Erfurt and QueerWeg e.V.
The Queer Centre Erfurt is the only one of its kind in the whole of Thuringia! Even before the state elections, it was clear that queer life in Thuringia is under acute threat.
Discrimination is part of everyday life and the political will to stop it is now
is now even more endangered. This makes it all the more important to have places where people can come together, exchange ideas, get help and realise their own projects and ideas…
One such place is the Queer Centre Erfurt: under the auspices of QueerWeg e.V., people have been coming together every week since it opened three years ago, working together and campaigning for each other and for a diversity-accepting, safe Thuringia for all. In addition to various opportunities for encounters, the Queer Centre also offers education and advice: with currently 6 part-time positions and over 50 volunteer supporters, the project is responsible for the whole of Thuringia.
However, the state election results have left us with many question marks: What’s next for the Queer Centre? How can we maintain the space? How can we stabilise the counselling and support work without state funding?
Our hope: This crowdfunding campaign will make the work of the Queer Centre and QueerWeg e.V. less dependent on state funding. And we are counting on you! Support the work of the Queer Centre Erfurt and the QueerWeg e.V. association now!
